Peter von Rohr<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>

    \n
  • Peter started to work for Qualitas AG in September 2013. After four years in the team of Informatics, Peter switched in November 2017 to the team of Geneticists. One of the focus projects of Peter is the development and the extension of quality assurance and process automation.<\/li>\n
  • Peter has completed the following educations:
    \nDiploma in Agricultural Science
    \nPhD in Animal Breeding
    \nBachelor in Computer Science<\/li>\n
  • After his PhD, Peter had several research positions. Before combining the experiences in animal breeding and computer science at Qualitas AG, Peter worked in a Start-Up company in Bioinformatics and in a hardware supplier and IT-services company.<\/li>\n
  • \u201cData Science\u201d is a relatively new scientific discipline which develops techniques and approaches to store, to manipulate and to analyse large quantities of data. In projects of quality assurance and process automation, concepts from data science are introduced for the prediction of breeding values.<\/li>\n
  • Qualitas is an excellent employer company. Each collaborator at Qualitas AG can develop his or her own talents in an optimal way. Being a part of a team where every member is treated respectfully and where everybody collaborates to develop solutions for relevant problems in the area of livestock breeding is a invaluable experience.<\/li>\n
  • At ETH Peter works as a lecturer where he teaches students in the areas of applied statistics in animal science and in livestock breeding and genomics. In his spare time, Peter enjoys to dance, to play the accordeon and to walk the dog in the woods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
